Elise is a Psychologist and expat from Brisbane, Australia. She has worked with children, adolescents and adults across community, hospital and private clinic settings. She has experience providing individual and group therapy to people presenting with a range of issues including: depression, anxiety, adjustment to life changes, relationship difficulties, substance use, self-esteem issues and other behavioural or emotional problems. She has particular interest in supporting and treating adults experiencing anxiety, depression, adjustment difficulties, and other difficulties that may result from the expat experience.

Elise adopts a respectful and non-judgemental approach to her individual work. Working primarily from a cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) approach, she also uses techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and mindfulness therapies to best meet the needs of her clients. She assists clients in their goals not only to alleviate distress, but also to gain increased self understanding and self acceptance.

Elise holds general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA), and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the Australian Association of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy Ltd (AACBT). She is also a member of the Dutch professional association of psychologists (Nederlands Instituut van Psychologen, NIP).
