Individual Therapy

People come to therapy for a variety of reasons. As such, it is important to develop an individually tailored treatment plan to help you achieve your goals for therapy. Individual therapy is a process that involves the assessment of your presenting concerns, identifying possible causes of the problems, establishing goals for therapy, and using evidence-based strategies to help resolve the challenges you are facing. All treatment goals and plans are made collaboratively. Sometimes you may be unsure of what exactly you want from therapy. This too can be explored together.

Given your individual nature and situation, the number of sessions required will be guided and reviewed throughout your treatment. While some people may require ongoing sessions, some may only require a few sessions to experience a positive change. At the initial stages of therapy, weekly or biweekly sessions are usually recommended. Sessions last for 50 minutes.
